Flange-bolted for centreline loading and precise alignment. The mounting of choice inside presses.
Technical specifications
Front Flange Mounted Hydraulic Cylinders feature a precision-machined mounting flange at the head (rod) end of the cylinder. The flange is bolted directly to the machine structure, placing the mounting interface in line with the piston rod centerline.
This arrangement provides maximum rigidity and precise axial alignment, making front flange cylinders the preferred choice for applications where the load is applied directly along the cylinder's centerline — such as hydraulic presses, die cushions, injection molding machines, and precision automation systems.
The front flange design also offers an advantage in press applications: the entire cylinder body extends rearward through the mounting plate, keeping the work area clear and allowing access from the front while the cylinder mechanism is protected behind the structure.
KBR Engineers manufactures front flange cylinders with precision-ground mating surfaces, standard and custom bolt circle patterns, and pilot diameters for precise locating. Each cylinder features a precision-honed barrel, chrome-plated piston rod, and premium sealing systems designed for high-pressure, high-cycle industrial applications.
